Financial Counselling
Financial counselling can help you learn to take control of your finances now
and in the future. Here are some of the reasons it is probably a good idea to
seek financial counselling:
- you dont know your credit bureau rating
- your roommate has just left town without a forwarding address
- you hate budgets but would like to learn something about them anyway
- you want to know more about scholarships and grants
Remember, at the University of Toronto
financial counselling is only a step away
. Financial counselling is available at your faculty or college or at Admissions and Awards. Counsellors are trained to assist students in all aspects of financial management including planning a
budget
and debt load management.
They can also provide information about
OSAP
, grants, scholarships and
UTAPS
. Check your faculty/college website for a Grant/Bursary application and submission dates. An
Undergraduate Grant Application
can be completed and submitted to your faculty/college if they do not use their own application.
The Financial Counselling Directory provides you with more information. You can make an appointment to see a counsellor or you can drop by your faculty or college to learn what options exist.
