Provincial Loan Programs
Students who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents may be eligible for financial assistance from their provincial governments. Applications are usually available in late May or early June. Student loan documents must be validated by the College Registrar once classes commence prior to negotiation at the lending institution. Most provinces/territories require students to maintain a course load of at least 60% to qualify for federal/provincial funding. Exceptions apply to Newfoundland, Quebec and the Northwest Territories; check with your provincial/territorial government. NO AVERAGING OF COURSE LOADS IS PERMITTED. For example, if you enroll in 80% of a full course load in your first term and 40% in your second term, the course loads cannot
be averaged to equal 60%. In this case, you would not be eligible for funding for
for the second term.

Programs ineligible for OSAP and UTAPS
OSAP and UTAPS do not provide assistance for these programs:
- Master of Mathematical Finance
- International Dentist Advanced Placement Program for Foreign-Trained Dentists (IDAPP)
- Executive Programs at Rotman School of Management
- International Pharmacy Graduate Program (Canadian Pharmacy Skills) for individuals with foreign pharmacy degrees.
- OISEUT Additional Qualification Courses: do not lead towards a degree
- School of Continuing Studies Courses: do not lead towards a degree
- Professional Experience Year Programs
- Residency Programs
- Certificate in Environmental Management
- Certificate in Renewable Energy
- Certificate in GIS for Environmental Management
