Please review each section to be sure you have all the information you need to complete your application. If you applied to more than one program at U of T, make sure that you visit the Program Information and Additional Requirements Page for each Division. You are responsible for ensuring that all required documents and forms are submitted by the stated deadlines. Your eligibility will be determined after all documentation required to complete your file has been received.
Important Note for International Students: As it can take approximately one to three months to obtain a study permit and entry visa, you are encouraged to submit all supporting documents by March 1. If you are worried about postal delays, you should consider sending your documents by courier if you live outside Canada, the USA or western Europe.
Application Status Check
You can review the status of your application at: www.adm.utoronto.ca/adm/status. Refer to your email acknowledgement for information on how to access this site.
It is important that you check this site regularly to determine what documents and additional information may still be required to complete your file.
If you have already submitted a document, due to mailing and processing time, it may be several weeks before we can indicate that a document has been received. We will not make additional requests for documents or confirm receipt of documents by mail.
Enable your UTORid
To enable your UTORid, you will need your UTORid and your U of T Applicant Number which you will find in your email acknowledgement. In addition you will need to provide your date of birth and your ten digit OUAC Reference Number, beginning with 2012. You will need to add a 0 to the end of the number.
Application Choices
You will be considered for the first University of Toronto choice that you made on your application. If you have listed additional choices, and in the event that we are unable to offer you admission to your first U of T choice, we will consider you for the alternate choice(s) where possible.
If you have indicated an alternate U of T choice, refer to the appropriate Program Information and Additional Requirements section on the side bar menu for details about additional non-academic requirements for each division. In the event that we are unable to offer you admission to your first U of T choice, we would only be able to consider you for an alternate program if all necessary information (profile forms, etc.) is submitted by the deadline dates and if space is available.
How Your Application Is Considered
Your application will be considered on the basis of your academic record and any additional information requested by the division to which you have applied.
In considering students for admission and scholarships, the University reserves the right to give preference to students whose grades represent their first attempt.
When Decisions Are Released
Decisions for arts, science and commerce/management programs are made on an ongoing basis. For other divisions, refer to the appropriate Program Information and Additional Requirements section.
If you accept an offer from another university before we reach a decision, the University of Toronto will continue to consider your application.
